Key responsibilities Conduct comprehensive reviews of medical records to identify and clarify documentation discrepancies Prepare compliant written queries for physicians based on current guidelines to validate diagnoses Collaborate with the coding team to ensure accurate MS-DRG assignment and participate in the DRG reconciliation process Required qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience Current/active license as RN, MD, MD Equivalent, RHIA, RHIT, or CCS Minimum of 2 years of acute care inpatient hospital coding or CDI experience Familiarity with encoder and DRG assignment Current knowledge of official coding guidelines and coding clinics
